Dinosaur Jr.
American Dinosaur Jr. is one of those bands that cannot have escaped any fan of the better alternative guitar work. In the 1980s they created an innovative blend of alternative rock and hard (punk) guitars, much like generational Pixies. After Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) outed himself as a big fan in the 1990s, the slackers’ popularity grew.
The band is still in blood form on ‘Sweep It Into Space,’ the latest record from Dinosaur Jr. The so recognizable signature of Dinosaur Jr. is magisterially incorporated into the new songs. Thus, the band still proves to be one of the most exciting contemporary bands.
