Sigur Rós announces the UK and European dates of their 2022 World Tour. The band kicks off the festivities in Lisbon on Sept. 28 and will hit Madrid, Berlin, Stockholm, Amsterdam and… Brussels! The Icelanders are coming to the stage of Forest National on Wednesday, November 2, 2022!
Since 1997 and the release of their first album “Von” (hope in Icelandic), Sigur Rós has become one of the most influential bands of their generation. Led by the charismatic Jónsi, this unique group draws its power from a magical and enchanting universe. Sigur Rós takes listeners on an atmospheric journey of disarmingly beautiful tracks and rousing smooth rhythms. Each album is a true gem of musical taste, such as the masterpieces “Ágætis byrjun” (1999), “Takk…” (2005) and “Meðað” (2006) and “Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust” (2008). Since 2013 (“Kveikur”) we have been waiting for new material, and it is finally coming. And that new work can be discovered live on November 2 at Forest National, including, of course, an outstanding selection from 25 years of brilliant discography. Jónsi, Georg Holm and Kjartan Sveinsson are expecting you to take you on their idiosyncratic musical journey.( source :Vorst National)
