Synth demigods!
Tangerine Dream is an electronic music group founded in 1967 by Edgar Froese in Berlin. Their groundbreaking album ‘Phaedra’ (1974) reached gold status in the United Kingdom as well as an inevitable milestone in the electronic scene. In the past 53 years, Tangerine Dream released more than one hundred (!) albums.
Their early ‘Pink Years’ albums had a central role in the development of Krautrock. Their ‘Virgin Years’ albums helped define what became known as the Berlin School of electronic music. These and later albums were of unprecedented influence on the development of electronic dance music worldwide.
After the death of founder Edgar Froese, the band reformed and are back with a live session to say “you” to. With their latest studio album, these German maestros pass through Het Depot. Already an evening to write in the books.
