The Wave-Gotik-Treffen (WGT) in Leipzig is one of the biggest music festivals in Europe and celebrates its 31st anniversary this year. From 17th to 20th May 2024, more than 150 bands will perform on more than 20 stages in Leipzig. As well as music, the festival also features a large medieval market, a pagan village, lectures, art exhibitions and theatre performances. Festival-goers can stay at the agra campsite on the outskirts of the city free of charge and use Leipzig’s public transport system. The unique aspect of the Wave-Gotik-Treffen is the atmosphere: thousands of Goths from all over the world gather here to celebrate and enjoy each other’s company. The 31st anniversary promises special events and artists, and the organisers are busy preparing for this special celebration. So mark your calendars if you want to be part of this unique festival.
There will be both older and newer bands and in a few days the line-up will be complete with where they will be playing and on what day, but here is the line-up as it stands today (29 April)
